Team Simmons website Seed Hawk began their sponsorship of team Simmons in the 2008/ 2009 season, and is happy to once again be their major sponsor in 2009/2010. Simmons and his rink are off to a great start to the 09/10 season with a win in the Olympic pre-trials giving the team a birth into the Olympic trials. The Team will be appearing in the Roar of the Rings (Olympic trials) beginning this Sunday in Edmonton. There will be 8 teams battling it out for the right to represent Canada in the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.
The Trials competition format is a round robin, with the first place teams advancing to their respective finals, while the second and third place teams meet in a semi-final to determine the other finalist. TSN will televise all draws, leading to the women's final on Saturday evening, December 12 at 6:00 pm MT/8:00 pm ET and the men's final Sunday afternoon, December 13 at 1:00 pm MT/3:00 pm ET.
This will be an exciting event for any curling fans to watch, as the event has the best 8 men’s and women’s teams from the country.
