Seed Hawk Inc. develops the world’s largest air drill

Langbank, SK— At 84 feet wide, the new Seed Hawk tool bar, in conjunction with the Seed Hawk 800 bushel air cart, is the largest seeding system in the world. The 84-foot tool bar is designed for large acreage farmers who are looking to maximize their seeding efficiencies, without compromising the accuracy of seed and fertilizer placement. Travelling at 5 miles per hour, a farmer can seed 50 acres an hour with the 84-foot toolbar, making it possible to comfortably seed 400 acres in a single day.

“Over the years, we’ve seen an increased demand for larger seeding equipment, but farmers didn’t want to compromise the emergence of the crop. This new tool bar incorporates all of the innovative design features found on our other equipment to ensure that they don’t sacrifice seeding accuracy,” says Brian Dean, Vice-President and Product Development Manager with Seed Hawk at Langbank, Saskatchewan, Canada.

The 84-foot tool bar places seed and fertilizer precisely with individual depth control on every seed and fertilizer opener. The 84-foot tool bar includes Seed Hawk’s wide, strong frame design that spreads the load across the width of the frame. Farmers can choose from 10 inch or 12 inch row spacings, and the standard single side band or Twin Wing seed knives. The 84-foot tool bar comes with Seed Hawk’s industry-leading five-year frame warranty.
